"Another lovely little shop with all sorts of fun gadgets!" We hear it often, and it proves we've succeeded in our mission! We've successfully combined that vast array of authentic, often relatively unknown brands with mainstream labels, creating a shop that remains accessible and easily recognizable for customers. Not vague, not stuffy, not preachy, yet packed with products that are both affordable and socially and/or environmentally responsible.

It's no coincidence that DEZE of GENE was the first store in the Netherlands to stock fully recycled eco-sunglasses from Parafina. After all these years, this Spanish brand is now available in a few more places, but our Inn Bamboo scarves, Ciclón jewelry, and The Grey Olive natural wax melts are hard to find on Dutch high streets. You certainly won't find the organic perfumes from Aimée de Mars, the handwoven scarves from Shirdak, or the beautiful earrings made from circular buffalo horn on every street corner either.

We're drawn to beautiful and exceptional materials, but we're also always actively seeking out products with a unique history. For example, jewelry from Ibu Jewels, Leju Design, Paulie Pocket, and Santibé Bijoux is handmade by (normally) underprivileged women who provide for their own livelihood and care for their children. Female empowerment: we love it!

Sometimes, we find it much closer to home. For example, Josh's bracelets, Camps&Camps earrings, and De Reuver ponchos are all produced right here in our own little country. Made with predominantly European materials, because we certainly appreciate that too.

Add to that the eco-friendly scented candles from My Flame, the pure products from Mijn Stijl, and the fair-trade home accessories from Earthware. Then you'll realize that THIS or THAT one is truly different. Come in soon (again) and let us surprise you!
