The Pelsertoren is a renovated medieval defense tower (c. 1475–1500) located on the canal in Zwolle's city center. Along with 22 other towers, the Pelsertoren was once part of Zwolle's city wall. Of the 23 towers, only three remain: the "Swan Tower," the "Wine Carriers' Tower," and the "Pelserpoorttoren" or "Pelsertoren." The Pelsertoren is a national monument.
